scientific practice: What is good teaching? - DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education

Project description

Using the topic of "good teaching" as an example, ideas from science and educational practice were discussed together with the help of an innovative workshop concept. In semi-standardised interviews, ten representatives each from academia and school practice (teachers) were asked about their concepts, theories and ideas of what constitutes good teaching. Six months later, a workshop was held with around 50 people from both groups (academia and school practice), at which initial results from the transcriptions of the interviews and discussions were presented. Similarities and differences between the two perspectives were highlighted and specific challenges for a successful transfer into practice were identified. In the mutual exchange between the participants in working groups, work was carried out on the topic of teaching quality and on the challenges of transfer between educational research and school practice.
